HWF Founder named Gulf Coast Educators’ 2021 Appreciated Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mr. Akash Patel on being named GCEFCU’s Appreciated Teacher of the Year.
At GCEFCU we know how much time, dedication, and effort goes into being an exceptional educator. As a teacher’s credit union, this is one of the many ways that we like to demonstrate our support and appreciation for educators. This recognition program was created with the intent to honor all the phenomenal work that Texas teachers do for their students and who make a difference in our community.
In total, the credit union received over 1,300 nominations from 167+ school districts from across the state of Texas. Mr. Patel was shortlisted as a top 5 finalist. As public voting commenced, we received over 3,194 votes. Mr. Akash Patel received 1,187 of those votes. With your support and participation in voting for Mr. Patel, we can continue to expect great things from him.
